Visitors' Book
Wondering which of our six cottages to choose?
Here are some comments from our visitors' books ....
'Dear Maureen and Barry.
What a magic place!! We have been thrilled with the whole experience and would have loved to have stayed longer. You not only have done a great job in setting up the place [we thought it deserved 5 stars!!] but the quality and quantity of the food and products provided were 1st class. We really had a lovely stay.'

Daphne and John, September 2004 ... cottage 16
'My father Jim was Ellen Ryan's youngest child. How exciting it was for me to stay in Nanna's cottage and experience 'de ja vu'. Beautifully restored with lots of attention to detail. Something I will never forget.'
Joy and Russell, May 2002 ... cottage 16

'Stumbled on this place by chance and what a find! Travelling home has been made much more comfortable by our stay here - but one night is not enough! We are heading home tomorrow with the memories of the open fire, the warm bathroom, comfortable bed and the carefully decorated rooms of number 10. Hope to come back soon [for longer!]
Congratulations Maureen and Barry.'
Michelle and Ryan, September 2003 ... cottage 10
'A tomato with the bacon! Ground pepper! Plunger coffee! ... heaven. So much attention to detail in the cottage. So much attention to detail for our comfort - thick towels, robes, comfortable bed, underfloor heating and good hot water - we've had a wonderful stay. Thank you Barry and Maureen.'

'Election day! The cottage at number 12 gets our vote!! Thanks for the details.
... it is reassuring to know some of the miners' dreams are still alive and we were able to share the memories of their space. Thank you.'
Jill and Justin, October 2004 ... cottage 12
'In a word delightful. Very impressed with bathroom facilities and lovely comfortable bed! We did appreciate the TV [hidden in the cupboard] and the electric jug for the 'cup of tea' was another 'modern' touch with definite advantages over boiling the billy! You have done a wonderful job in recreating the past - congratulations Barry and Maureen.'

I particularly enjoyed whipping Katrina at Monopoly while we sat in front of the warm open fire toasting marshmallows ...'
